PETALING JAYA: Winning the men’s Open title in the Malaysian Open was a personal redemption for national bowler Rafiq Ismail.

The 25-year-old had to endure the frustration of having to settled for silver in the Sonic International Classic in April and returning home empty-handed from the Philippines Open last month.
