Masters champion Nevern roars in leader’s role

Over the moon: Sabah’s Nevern Netaneel and Pahang’s Nur Shafiqah Nabihah Azuddin (below) won the men’s and women’s Masters final respectively.

IT’S hard to imagine that young bowler Nevern Netaneel was once a timid character.

The Sabahan is noted for his showy and spirited antics on the lanes, which were in full flow en route to beating Federal Territories’ Mohd Hazim Alihanafiah 247-217, 257-247 for his first Masters gold in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) at the Sunway Megalanes yesterday.
