Rafiq’s rule of thumb – check the grip holes

Rafiq: ‘Since I started bowling for the national team, this is the longest I have been out of the game.’

PETALING JAYA: The first thing Rafiq Ismail is going to do when he returns to training would be to check if his fingers and thumb can fit into the grip holes of his bowling ball.

The national bowler has not had a feel of the competition balls for more than three months and is expecting to find things to be different when he returns to the lanes.
