PETALING JAYA: The Covid-19 outbreak has badly disrupted the national team’s plans for this year, leaving the national bowlers, especially the men’s team, with just one tournament to prepare for the Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships (ATBC) in Hong Kong from July 4-14.
The virus outbreak has forced the postponement of several bowling tournaments in Asia, like the Emir Cup in Qatar, Malaysian Open, Thailand Open and Incheon Open in South Korea – all slated from March to April. The status of the Singapore Open and Philippines Open, the only Asian tournaments before the ATBC are also uncertain.
