PETALING JAYA: Rafiq Ismail has finally won his first title of the year at the Singapore Open.
The world champion won the men Masters title after beating South Korea’s Kim Jun-young 188-180 in the stepladder finals at the Singapore Bowling @ Rifle Range on Sunday.
The 22-year-old was on fire as he made it to the stepladder finals as the top qualifier with 1,831 pinfalls.
The Kuala Lumpur boy’s last success was in the World Championships in Hong Kong last year when he won the men’s singles gold medal.
