PETALING JAYA: Malaysian bowlers almost had to give the Men’s World Championships a miss for the first time in 30 years due to funding issues last month.

But they will get to go after all when the National Sports Council (NSC) promptly assured them that there’s a budget allocated for the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress’ (MTBC) last major assignment of the year.
