Rafiq bowled over despite defeat in World Singles final

Mohd Rafiq Ismail will be out to defend his title at the Milo International Junior All-Stars on Saturday.

PETALING JAYA: Rafiq Ismail arrived at the World Singles Championships in Doha with only a semi-final target.

Yesterday, the 23-year-old kegler not only reached the last four but delivered a silver medal – a first for Malaysia in the most prestigious individual bowling competition – after he went down 205-256 to Denmark’s Jesper Agerbo in the final.
