PETALING JAYA: Former world champion Esther Cheah turned in a gutsy display to join five other Malaysians in the second round of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour’s Lincoln Open in Nebraska.

The 30-year-old rose to the occasion in the second block of the qualifying rounds to post lines of 208-221-188-156-212-246 for a 12-game total of 2,405 to barely make the top-32 cut in 31st spot.
