PRAI: Penang’s Anis Shazlin Zulkhisham made up for her agonising defeat last year by cruising to the girls’ title at the 43rd Penang Pesta International Bowling Championships.

The 17-year-old confessed to crying all the way home when she missed out on the title by just three pins to Kuala Lumpur’s Nora Diyana last year. Although Anis went on to score a stunning victory in the women’s Open event two days later, the defeat in the girls’ event had been hard to stomach.
