PETALING JAYA: Malaysia failed to retain the Euro-Med Storm International Masters Challenge after Esther Cheah fell short in the step-ladder finals.

Esther, who was seeking to end her two-year Open title drought, lost 247-230 to Biboy Rivera of the Philippines to settle for fourth spot in Manila on Tuesday. She picked up RM13,800 in the mixed-gender tournament.
