SUBANG JAYA: Veteran Alex Liew left it late to clinch the men’s singles gold medal as he led defending overall champions Selangor to an inspiring start on the opening day of the Inter-State bowling championships at the Sunway Mega Lanes.
Trailing by 21 pins, the 38-year-old Alex made a late charge by posting a 248 in the final round for a six-game total of 1,467 to emerge champion.
