Bowlers focusing on team event


PETALING JAYA: National bowlers in the World Championships will have to buck up for the team event at the Strike Zone Bowling Arena in Nevada, United States, after emerging empty-handed in the trios event.

In the women’s trios on Monday, the team of Esther Cheah-Shalin Zulkifli-Sin Li Jane finished in 10th spot on 3,691 pins after six games. Malaysia’s other trio of Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman-Jacqueline Jenelee Sijore-Zandra Aziela Ibrahim Hakimi, meanwhile, struggled to come in 23rd on 3,561.
