PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing stormed into the Indonesian Masters final after beating home pair Bobby Setiabudi-Melati Oktavianti.

Jimmy-Pei Jing fought hard to come out on top 22-20, 19-21, 21-9 over the world No. 46 duo in 48 minutes in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra on Saturday (Oct 25).

The world No. 40 independent pair have now made it into their sixth final of the year and will be out to end their wait for a title after coming up short in all their previous outings including in the Macau Open in August.

Standing in their way in the final are another home pair, world No. 35 Marwan Faza-Aisyah Pranata.
