PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Yap Roy King-Wan Arif Wan Junaidi made a smashing start in the World Championships in Paris by cruising into the second round.

World No. 22 Roy King-Arif, who were making their debut in the prestigious meet, showed no signs of nerves in their opening match against Japan's world No. 34 Kenya Mitsuhashi-Hiroki Okamura, coming away with an impressive 21-5, 21-13 win in just 27 minutes at the Adidas Arena in Port de la Chapelle on Monday (Aug 25).
