Tang Jie-Ee Wei in Japan Open semis after smashing past home pair


PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei powered into the Japan Open semi-finals with a commanding win over home pair Yuichi Shimogami-Sayaka Hobara.

World No. 4 Tang Jie-Ee Wei were in fine form as they only needed 32 minutes to come away with a 21-14, 21-12 victory over the world No. 24 duo at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on Friday (July 18).
