PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie lived up to expectations set by coach Teo Kok Siang by booking their spot in the quarter-finals of the Japan Open on Thursday (July 17).

In their second-round match at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, the sixth seeds delivered a solid performance to overcome Singapore’s Terry Hee-Jin Yu Jia 21-14, 21-17 in just 32 minutes.
