Veteran Srikanth shows he still has the chops as he storms into first final in four years

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran Indian shuttler K. Srikanth continued his dream run in the Malaysian Masters by smashing into the men’s singles final.

Former world No. 1 Srikanth had dropped to No. 65 in the world rankings after a long injury layoff last year but defied the odds to come through the qualifying rounds and edged Japan’s Yushi Tanaka 21-18, 24-22 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
