Rexy, Kenneth keep same names for Sudirman Cup

PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have decided to maintain the same line-up for the Sudirman Cup from April 27-May 4 in Xiamen, China.

The 20 players in the provisional list released last week including newly crowned Asian champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik (men's doubles) have been passed fit by the coaching directors Kenneth Jonassen (singles) and Rexy Mainaky (doubles) to compete in the mixed team meet.

Aaron-Wooi Yik will be joined in the men's doubles by Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun and followed by singles shuttlers Leong Jun Hao, Justin Hoh; Goh Jin Wei K. Letshanaa (women’s singles); Pearly Tan, M. Thinaah, Go Pei Kee, Carmen Ting (women’s doubles); and Goh Soon Huat, Shevon Lai Jemie, Hoo Pang Ron, Cheng Su Yin, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei (mixed doubles).

Malaysia have been drawn in Group C along with Japan, France and Australia and need to finish in the top two to progress to the last eight.
