BAM welcomes MACC announcement that probe into senior BAM official called off

PETALING JAYA: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) welcomed the announcement by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) that no further action will be taken against one of the association's senior officials.

BAM released a statement confirming the news after MACC initially investigated a senior official within the national body last month.

"The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) thanks the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for concluding their investigation and announcing there would be no further action taken against a senior BAM official.

"BAM will accept and implement the recommendations of MACC on BAM's governance," read the statement.

BAM and MACC did not name the senior official, who was investigated.
