Aaron-Wooi Yik bows out of French Open


Aaron Chia (right) and Soh Wooi Yik bowed out of the French Open after losing 19-21, 16-21 to South Korea's Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae in the quarter-finals in Paris.

PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik's run in the French Open comes to an end in the quarter-finals on Friday (March 8).

Aaron-Wooi Yik went down 19-21, 16-21 to South Korea's reigning world champions, Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae, at the Adidas Arena in Paris.

It was the world No. 5 pair's second consecutive defeat to the world No. 2 Koreans this year, following their loss on the same stage in the Malaysian Open in January.

Malaysia's challenge in the tournament has come to an end following Aaron-Wooi Yik's defeat.
