Zii Jia withdraws from Korean Masters


Lee Zii Jia has pulled out of the Korean Masters which kicks off on Nov 7.

PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Lee Zii Jia has withdrawn from the men's singles competition in the Korean Masters which starts on Tuesday (Nov 7) in Gwangju.

Team LZJ announced the news via social media on Monday (Nov 6).

"After consultation with doctors and physical experts, Team LZJ agrees that it's best for Lee Zii Jia to take a little bit more time to rest before coming back to action," read the post.

According to the post, Zii Jia has not sustained any serious injuries and should be back soon.

The independent player, who is currently ranked No. 11 in the world, is likely to return to competitive action in the back-to-back Japan Masters (Nov 14-19) and China Masters (Nov 21-26).
