Tze Yong bags strong win as Zii Jia falls again


PETALING JAYA: A bolder approach paid dividends for Ng Tze Yong in the first round of the Japan Open.

The national men’s singles shuttler had lost narrowly to Singapore’s 2021 world champion Loh Kean Yew in the quarter-finals of the Korean Open last week but he exacted sweet revenge with a superb 21-16, 21-17 win at the Yoyogi Gymnasium in Tokyo yesterday.
