Much was expected from Ng Tze Yong after his exploits in the All England in March but the shuttler was unable to dislodge Japanese dangerman Kenta Nishimoto in the first round of the Malaysian Masters in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
The Malaysian had hogged the limelight for stunning world No. 1 Viktor Axelsen in Birmingham but at the Axiata Arena, he was a pale shadow of the player who pulled off that giant-killing act.
