PETALING JAYA: It was a day of mixed fortunes for Malaysia when Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik marched into the men's doubles third round of the World Championships but the experienced Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi were eliminated.

World No. 6 Aaron-Wooi Yik kept their nerves to edge past Taiwan's world No. 23 Lu Ching-yao-Yang Po-han 22-20, 21-18 to set up an all-Malaysian clash against Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani to assure at least one quarter-final spot.
