PETALING JAYA: Can shutters Chan Peng Soon-Tan Kian Meng upset India's world No. 7 Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty to make it an all-Malaysian final in the men's doubles?

Scratch pairing Peng Soon-Kian Meng beat Sri Lanka's Sachin Dias-Buwaneka Goonethilleka 21-16, 21-12 in the quarter-finals on Saturday to set up a match against the Indians.

It should not be a problem for top seeds Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik to enter the final.

The world No. 6 brushed aside Uganda's Brian Kasirye-Daniel Wanagaliya 21-6, 21-12 in the last eight and will take on England's world No. 19 Ben Lane-Sean Vendy. They had beaten the English pair at the same stage in the mixed team event.

Meanwhile, women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah also reached the semi-finals after getting the better of Singapore's Yujia Jin-Crystal Wong 21-15, 11-21, 21-15.

They will play India's Treesa Jolly-Gayathri Gopichand next whom they had beaten in the mixed team final.
