Justin looks good for Croatian title

PETALING JAYA: National men’s singles shuttler Justin Hoh continued his fine form in Europe by reaching his second consecutive final at the Croatian Open.

Justin, who captured his first senior title at the Bonn International in Germany on Sunday, fought tooth and nail to upstage Hong Kong’s Jason Gunawan 21-12, 17-21, 21-17 in a 77-minute battle.

The 18-year-old will play Vietnam’s Nguyen Hai Dang and looks good to nick his second title.

Justin was the only national player to reach the final as all others did not get past the second round.

Earlier, he had also played in the men’s doubles with V. Poopathi but the pair crashed out in the first round after losing narrowly to Austria’s Philip Birker-Philipp Drexler 10-21, 21-13, 19-21.
