PETALING JAYA: Many see the inclusion of independent player Liew Daren as a tactical ploy but the man himself wants to prove his critics wrong in the Thomas Cup Finals in Bangkok next month.
Daren, who is ranked 35th in the world, was on the list of five singles players named in the squad by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) yesterday.
