PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s challenge in the mixed doubles has been wiped out with the defeat of mixed doubles pair Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing in the German Open.
World No. 10 Kian Meng-Pei Jing attempted a late fightback but it was not enough to overcome Thailand stars Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai in the quarter-finals in Mulheim on Friday. They went down 11-21, 18-21.
