PETALING JAYA: Three-time world champion Carolina Marin (pic) broke the hearts of home fans after withdrawing from the World Championships.
Just two days before the start of the tournament in her home city Huelva and in an arena named after her, Marin announced her decision as she had not been able to recover completely from a left knee injury sustained earlier in the year.
