PETALING JAYA: Already hit hard by the withdrawal of the entire Indonesian squad from the World Championships, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) have been handed further blows when world No. 2 Kento Momota joined the long list of notable absentees in Huelva, Spain.
The BWF confirmed yesterday that Momota will not bid for his third successive world crown following his triumphs in Nanjing 2018 and Basel 2019 as he is nursing a back injury.
