Ong and Teo wary despite top pairs’ pullout from draw

Easy run?: Malaysian men’s doubles pair Ong Yew Sin (left) and Teo Ee Yi have a very good chance of reaching the quarter-finals in Thailand.

PETALING JAYA: Independent shuttlers Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi are still treading with caution despite receiving easier challenges at the upcoming two Thailand Opens.

The world No. 15 are looking good for at least the quarter-finals after avoiding a potential second round clash against top seeds Kevin Sanjaya-Marcus Fernaldi of Indonesia and and fourth seeds Hiroyuki Endo-Yuta Watanabe of Japan in the first (Jan 12-17) and second (Jan 19-24) legs respectively.
