PETALING JAYA: Former international shuttler Woon Khe Wei has backed top women’s pair Chow Mei Kuan and Lee Meng Yean to shine at the Tokyo Olympics next year despite the odds heavily stacked against them.
The 31-year-old has a lot of faith in her former teammates that she wouldn’t be surprised if Mei Kuan-Meng Yean can go on to improve on the quarter-final outing by her and Vivian Hoo in Rio de Janeiro four years ago.
