The player had been travelling with the team during their recent competition stint including at the All-England as a sparring partner. As a precautionary measure, a second test will be performed on March 30. All the players are still under quarantine.

The Taiwanese shuttlers enjoyed a fruitful campaign in Birmingham two weeks ago with the highlight being Tzu-ying winning the women’s singles crown for a third time.

Top seed Tien-chen became the first time Taiwanese to reach the men’s singles but fell short in the final to Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.
