It was a dream come true for Malaysian badminton fans when local hero Lee Zii Jia set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash against world No. 1 Kento Momota.Zii Jia earn his shot at the Japanese superstar by taking down another big name – China’s Shi Yuqi – 12-21,21-16,21-19 in a pulsating 69-minute last-eight encounter yesterday.

Zii Jia and Shi Yuqi fought an end-to-end battle and, in the rubber, the Chinese closed to 18-18 and 19-20 before Zii Jia finished him off.
