KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's challenge in the Perodua Malaysian Masters came to an abrupt end in the semi-finals with the exits of shuttlers Lee Zii Jia and Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (Jan 11).

National No. 1 Zii Jia failed to break his losing streak to Japan's Kento Momota, and went down 10-21,19-21 to the world No. 1 in the men's singles semi-finals.
