Leave nothing to chance

Missing: Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie is not competing in the SEA Games as he is preparing for the World Tour Finals in Guangzhou from Dec 11-15.

THE path to gold has been made easier with the pullout of defending champion and Indonesian star Jonatan Christie but national top men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia insists he will not get carried away.In a change of plans earlier this week, the Indonesia BA (PBSI) had decided to field second stringers Shesar Hiren Rustavito and Firman Abdul Kholik in the individual event to allow world No. 6 Jonatan to concentrate on the World Tour Finals in Guangzhou from Dec 11-15.

The PBSI also beefed up the singles line-up in the team event by adding world No. 8 Anthony Ginting at the 11th hour as they seek to win a sixth successive gold.
