Goh for it, Kenny!

THE first thing that Datuk Kenny Goh said as the new Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) secretary is “I am no magician”. The 52-year-old Kenny, who served as BAM’s general manager in 2015, certainly knows what challenges lie ahead in his bid to revive the fortunes of Malaysian badminton. But don’t expect him to perform miracles and turn things around overnight. He’s game to try his best and willingly shares his visions and aspirations for the sport with StarSport’s TAN MING WAI.

Q: Welcome back. Must be pumped up on your first day? A: I think the expectation is high and everybody is talking about a major revamp. I don’t have a magic wand – just wave and everything’s done! I can’t do things alone and I need all the support from everyone, the BAM Council, coaches, players, National Sports Council, Youth and Sports Ministry. We all should come together and make things happen. I would like to thank BAM president Datuk Seri Norza (Zakaria) for placing his trust in me.
