PETALING JAYA: Muhd Fazriq Razif and K. Letshanaa emerged as the boys' and girls' Under-16 singles champions in contrasting styles in the 100PLUS National Junior Circuit Finals in Negri Sembilan.
Fazriq, 15, overcame Hooi Hao Sherng of Kuala Lumpur 22-20, 21-15 to clinch his third title in the series.
He was the Under-14 champion in the last two editions.
With just a couple of hours rest, Fazriq went on to the court again to complete a grand double by clinching the boys' doubles crown with partner Justin Hoh. They overcame their national teammates Rayner Beh-Goh Boon Zhe 21-14, 21-17.
Selangor's Letshanaa had to dig deep into reserves to dethrone last year's champion Arena Satu Samin of Sabah with a hard-fought 10-21, 21-9, 21-15 win.
