PETALING JAYA: Independent shuttler Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub put a recent car accident behind him to make a winning start with his partner Arif Abdul Latif at the Indian Open.

Despite Azriyn still suffering from chest pains, they easily defeated Indian pair M. Harinder-N. Pankaj 21-10, 21-8 in the first round in New Delhi on Tuesday.
