PETALING JAYA: Independent men’s doubles pair Arif Abdul Latif-Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub’s fine run at the Swiss Open has come to an end but they will leave Europe with a result they can build on.

The world No. 32 put up a good fight before going down 21-18, 20-22, 15-21 to South Korea’s comeback kids Lee Yong-dae-Kim Gi-jung in the quarter-finals at St. Jakobshalle in Basel on Friday.
