PETALING JAYA: Debutants Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik continued their sizzling run at the All-England, beating Denmark's Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen to march into the quarter-finals.

There were more cheers for the Malaysian team with world No. 14 Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai also made it to the quarter-finals in the mixed doubles.

Soon Huat-Shevon finally got the better of England's Marcus Ellis-Lauren Smith at third time of asking when they triumphed  21-15, 26-24 against their world No. 12 opponents.

Soon Huat-Shevon will have to raise their game even further if they are to advance into semis because their next opponents are world No. 2 Huang Dongping-Wang Yilyu of China.

Malaysia's challenge in the men's singles has come to an end after sole representative Liew Daren was eliminated.

Defending champion Shi Yuqi of China proved too hot to handle as Daren went down 8-21, 10-21.
