APPARENTLY the old saying of “where there is smoke there's fire” is not always true, at least that was the case at the Axiata Arena when matches at the Perodua Malaysian Masters were temporarily halted after the fire alarm suddenly went off.
Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) media manager Falah Abdullah said smoke from a food vendor stall triggered the smoke detectors at the arena while matches were being played at around 2.50pm yesterday.
