ODENSE: Life has been tough as an independent shuttler but Liew Daren is willing to face all kinds of hardships to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Daren fought back from 2-11 down in the decider before going down fighting 15-21, 21-12, 20-22 to Kanta Tsuneyama of Japan in the first round of the Danisa Denmark Open on Wednesday.
