Malaysia go down to Japan in Asian junior mixed team semi-finals

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia did not have star player Goh Jin Wei but it did not stop them from equalling their last year’s bronze medal feat in the mixed team event of the Asian Junior Badminton Championships in Jakarta.

Seventh seeds Malaysia stunned second seeds South Korea 3-2 in the quarter-finals but they ran out of gas against Japan, losing 3-0 in the semi-finals which took place barely two hours later.
