Puchong United BC stun title-holders to reach SSPL final

Puchong United BC's Chou Tien-chen returns a shot towards his Petaling Jaya BC opponent during their SSPL 2017/18 semi-final match at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.

PETALING JAYA: The star-studded Puchong United Badminton Club (PUBC) flexed their muscles to beat reigning champions Petaling Jaya BC (PJBC) 10-3 book a place in the final of the SS Purple League (SSPL) at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands on Friday.

It was sweet revenge for PUBC after losing to PJBC in last year’s final, despite being touted as the favourites.
