ALOR SETAR: The Malaysian women’s team lost out on the top spot in Group C of the Asia Team Badminton Championships, giving Thailand a fantastic fight before going down 3-2 at the Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium on Thursday.
In the first singles, national No. 1 Soniia Cheah was unable to lead the team as she went down 14-21, 15-21 to world No. 12 Nitchaon Jindapol.
