Teck Zhi only BAM shuttler to reach semis in Thailand


Marching on: Soo Teck Zhi will take on fifth seed and top local shuttler Pannawit Thongnuam at the Smiling Fish International Challenge semi-finals in Trang, Thailand, today.

PETALING JAYA: Soo Teck Zhi is the only Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) shuttler to reach the semi-finals of the Smiling Fish International Challenge in Trang, Thailand.

Yesterday, the 21-year-old defeated Kodai Naraoka of Japan 21-14, 21-19 in 45 minutes for his first semi-final appearance in a fourth-tier tournament in over a year.
