Olympic champ Chen Long turns down wildcard to Finals

PETALING JAYA: World No. 2 Chen Long (pic) has turned down the offer of a wildcard from Badminton World Federation (BWF) for next week’s BWF Superseries Finals in Dubai.

The China ace was given a wildcard to compete in the US$1mil (RM4.4mil) season-finale thanks to his Olympic gold medal feat in Rio de Janeiro in August.
