PETALING JAYA: Youngsters Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing kept alive their hopes of a first international title by storming into the Vietnam Open mixed doubles semi-finals in Ho Chi Minh City.

Kian Meng-Pei Jing, who were only paired up late last year, overcame Taiwan’s sixth-seeded Chang Ko-chi-Chang Hsin-tien 27-25, 19-21, 21-4 after fighting close to one hour on Friday.
