KUNSHAN: Ruthvika Shivani (pic), only 19 years old and ranked a lowly 119th in the world, clinched the winning point as India overpowered Thailand 3-1 to reach the Uber Cup semi-finals.
Playing in the third singles, Shivani upset the odds to stun Nitchaon Jindapol, ranked 94 places above her, 21-18, 21-16 to the delight of her team-mates.
